Mine would be the shoreline trails around horsetooth reservoir, I live about 1 mile from the foothills so this is the easiest to get to. Maxwell, the trail behind the CSU stadium, is kind of tricky for me, but once you get up to the dams road (centennial), the trails are pretty fun from there. My favorite loop is to head north on shoreline and then end up on the trail that descends to michaud lane … I don’t know the name of that one. Then just cruise home on Overland Trail (actually a road).
Or descend toward West Laport on any one of 2 trails whose names escape me to my office, a nice mtn bike commute in the AM! Just not for the mornings when I’m carrying my laptop ;)

My first post, hopefully I do this right …
Well, it was not on a mountain bike but I had a big crash a few weeks ago on a time trial bike (yeah, it takes a lot of skill to crash in a time trial). Practicing with my team and we were flying, about 30 mph, I hit a 2×4 in the road while in the aero bars and had no hope of saving myself. I went flying off the bike and while airborne hit a mile marker sign with my left knee. That sent me spinning off the road and I landed in a heap about 20 feet from the blasted 2×4. I hit the ground so hard my shoe flew off and I cracked my helmet. My knee was huge and had a deep cut from the sign, I had some scratches/bruises on my face, and bruises/cuts all over my legs, but nothing broken or torn, somehow. It was really scary 😢 but I survived to race 2 days later. I probably would have needed stitches but before deciding to go to the ER my coach cut some skin off my knee to clean the wound. Ouch!

Riding is fun, crashing is not!! 😉
