Opening day at the local bike park last year…

Overshot a big tabletop and hucked flat into a rocky section. Went otb, headfirst into the rock garden and broke the chinbar and visor clean off my fullface helmet. Broke my wrist, tore up my shoulder and got scraped up pretty bad on my arms and thighs. Surprisingly no concussion though.

Lesson learned … always dry run a trail after they make changes

Alls well now just a few scars to show for it 🙂

Check out the new e thirteen semi slick tire. Its a really fast rear tire for hardpack, with big cornering knobs and it has a gravity casing so thats always a plus. The SS Rear with a TRS LG1 DH front tire is my ideal summer setup … a very fast rolling pair.

Banshee bikes generally run shorter chainstays, and slacker head angles…which make for a more playful bike.

in reply to: Diamondback Release 2 #243956

For an inexpensive all rounder with a good build, you could check out Commencal. I think the Meta v4.2 would be much more fitting for DH and bike parks, although Diamondback has really stepped up their game recently. Its personal preference though, depending on frame geometry etc…
<p style=”text-align: left;”>The release is a trail bike so it would be a bit steeper, whereas an enduro style like the commencal meta would be more slack and better for downhill.

    <p style=”text-align: left;”>Dunno if that helps
