Was maybe 1998, we had been riding one or two times a week for three or four years. One of our favorite haunts had been Annandale State Park in the Sonoma Valley near Santa Rosa. Back in the day the Rock Hopper races were held here, yeah that’s how the bike got the name. We learned to ride major rocks there, the rougher the downhill the more we love turning around and climbing it.
This before they fixed (“ruinedâ€
Back in the day, my now X- wife and I after a day at Aptos/Soqual stoped at Marks of Art. Stood next to our bikes and marked off the chain ring marks. Went in paid our money, in 96 we were at the World cup race in Napa and some german mag photographer, took a bunch of pics. Had us posing our calves Damn he was freaking happy.

"barrem" wroteI wrecked the other day and my bike got stuck in a tree. The other day I was riding a local trail backwards so all of the obstacles were a little more difficult than I was used to. I came up to a pretty big log laying across the trail and decided to try to hop over it. I popped the front tire over, but apparently didn’t have enough speed to get the back tire over. The front tire stuck right into the ground and the back tire got hung up on the log. I knew I was done at this point. I couldn’t stop myself from moving forward and veering off to the side towards a ditch about 3 feet deep. There was a tree laying across the ditch and I knew I was going right for it. I managed to jump off the bike and over the tree, but my bike didn’t quite make it. I landed with a thud down in the ditch (in a patch of poison ivy no less) and my bike got stuck in the tree. It was just hanging there like I put it there on purpose. I only got a couple scratches and bruises (and poison ivy the next day), but I was ok other than that. I will post a picture if I can figure out how.
Woo Hoo this thread is still going LOL, Hmm never tried riding my bike backwrds off road, sounds alike a good way to get hurt

[quote:n9xuhs1s]When I was training for a triathlon, my best advice was "Eat everything." I kinda just stuck with that. 😀I wouldn’t mind that.[/quote:n9xuhs1s]
O-yeah 6 shot espresso starts everyday LOL!!
Read some place, one ounce off rotational weight is equal to four ounces of the bike in performance.
next is weight off of the top of the bike, it will feel faster with less weight on top. As you rock or manuver the bike less effort is needed.Of course,,, ALL,,, this should all be done on a Single speed 😆
Build a pump track in you yard, then you dont have to go to the gym also

Yeah I rode!I have come to understand, enough about women to know, I do not know enough about women and understand that this most likely means, I will never know enough about women, which most likely means I know enough about women………………. or don’t ?
I have a looked like a pro, was riding annandal, came to wel known spring, but i am flying, stream is floode a couple of feet wider than expected.
No big just jump it———— left foot un clips———– nice on hand one foot table top/whip——- landed it like it was planned, also like I had done one before,—!@@#$%$#@^&%&— no witnesses. Only reason I landed it was, actualy pictured my broken collarbone in my head.
So it only lives the film in my head

A buddy tried the grass, stick, leaf thing, turned to powder in maybe 1/8 mile. But it was great to watch and laugh, what are buddys for Eh?
Uh—– the kit has a valve that unscrews, old style was pop tire, pour in
Gotta throw down on this, Stan’s is the best set up, been using it for years. Only one flat when a root had a 3/8 inch nubin straight up and tore a huge hole, sealed it just enough to ride a bit, till it filled with mud. Works pretty good, I can break anything in short order

Try thinking of it as a step up then a drop in, raise the front tire so the back hits first the hits first. but all logs are differant, Doah! or go fast enough to jump it, but getting that wrong can hurt. What the girl don’t ride?

Been looking at Ireland, have always wanted to go. The tours all look soooo! tour-ist-y. Did find info on mountain bike races, kinda thinking about doing that next year, fly over and do a race. What a goof that would be

Was passing some kid on a climb, he looked over his shoulder and yelled F— no, Sweet 😬June 28, 2007 at 12:20 in reply to: Any Singlespeeders, 29er riders, or other niche bike riders? #70275It’s a hardtail SS, with a special Maverick DUC32 fork, 29" front 26" rear. I may eventually go to the singlespeed hardtail darkside, but you can’t make me give up the squish up front. 😎Actually right now I’m looking at an old Breezer/Fisher/Ritchey-era Klunker, complete with coaster brakes and moto-levers. That’d be pimp! 😼
B: Drink the Koolaide you’ll never go back. I’m waiting to say welcome brother.
