A bit late but I’d also like to say that my Motobecane 29er ti has been an exceptional bike for the several months I’ve had it. The terrain I ride is anything but smooth flowing trails but rather twisty technical with plenty of drops and stream beds so it’s taken a beating. Mine is the Xtr version. The new models have the tapered he and thru axle z Reba. Sure they are made in Taiwan but the quality of the welds appears just as good as higher production American frames, besides, those super pricey carbon frames are mostly made in mainland China but you don’t read any criticism about that. People dislike Motobecane and Be because it doesn’t help those in the industry but it does help the consumer by buying and building in large preorders then selling direct to the customer passes the savings on to you. Don’t be fooled into thinking they are making actual production short cuts that every other company does because they are not, cutting out the middle men simply saves the consumer money.
