Great stuff!
I DID IT!! WOO HOO!!! I am so stoked!! Well it ended with a double feature, here we go!!
Day 30: COMPLETE!!! Did a lunch run with a few suburbia single tracks thrown in the mix. After work (had to stay later than anticipated) I headed over to Deer Creek to play with the FS. I love this trail, why oh why do I not go here more. The climb is wonderful, the tech is sweet. It does work me over pretty good, but the downhill is such a wonderful reward. Unfortunately I did not make the upper loops due to time. I got just above the wall and returned. Enjoy the pics, I know I had a great month, thanks for all the encouragement along the way!!
Post work awesomeness!!!!
Day 17: Gotta love random neighborhood trails, they lead you to fun parks. The first stop I had to swing, you are never to old to swing! The Second one I stoped at just because the Colorado theme was awesome. I didn’t take pics, but the Climbing bar mountain was Mt. Elbert, the sand area was the Sand Dunes, etc etc. It’s a sweet little park!
Sweet!!!
HAHAHAHA!! Funny edit!
Day 16: South Valley. I love this little park. The straightaways let you look ahead and on the downhill is a BLAST! The tech in the connector is always a fun little side trail. Got to watch the clouds close in as I rode tonight, sure was peaceful!
Don’t know why but I love this spot right here. I always stop and just think here.
Thanks everyone, the cold weather was fun.
Jeff, I dig the train, that is cool!
Skibum – sorry the back luck hit you, heal up fast man!
Day 14: Rollers, nothing exciting.
Day 15: Man it was a "taxing" day, paid my "dues" and had a great time. Head off to Mt.Falcon. Parmalee was a blast and not in bad shape, however right around the castle and on the main trail it’s a mess.
Day 13: Old Fenders(after today that is the 3 speed nickname) and I went out for a pavement pounding, fresh track making, and ice forming good time. I did do a "walk of warmth" on the last hill before I was back to my car. Needed to warm my toes up, since my shoes froze to the pedals a one point. Whoever honked, waved and gave me a thumbs up thank you for that! Made me smile. Enough of the blah blah..
This may be why I had a little extra resistance as the ride went on
Day 12: Did a little ‘splorin!! Was going to do a lunch ride but didn’t happen so on the way home there is a dirt trail that goes up the hill, I followed it. Had a great time. However this is a CLIMB. I will return with my geared rig next time.
This picture doesn’t show the steepness…
Very cool! Gotta love it here

Hey man, for sure! Of course, it depends on what my schedule looks like, but if I’m free then I’m down! You can always drop me an email at greg AT singletracks DOT com[/quote:22qwrrbw]
Sweet, I will hit you up some point after May most likely.
Everyone, there are some wonderful shots here. WAY TO GO!!! Keep them coming!
Here is today for me.
Day 11: Green Mountain baby!!! Gotta love it there for all the fun and quick trails. Was a beautiful eve for some miles. .Box o’ rocks is always a fun way down! Truly a wonderful evening!I don’t think I will be able to make Saturday now..Darnit. Hey MTBGREG1, if I make it to your town you willing to show me a few trails?
"mtbgreg1" wroteCOLORADO GROUP RIDE UPDATE:
I’ve heard reports of vandalism and break ins at some of the lots outside of the park, so for safety’s sake, we’ll be meeting at the parking lot inside the South Shore Lake Pueblo State Park. There’s a fee required to park inside the state park, so if you don’t want to pay the fee, you can plan to park outside and ride in with enough time to meet up by 10am. However, please note that you do so at your own risk.
I’m stoked to see and ride with everyone this weekend! It looks like it’s going to be warm and sunny… should be fun times!
See y’all soon,
-Greg
Wait, what did I miss??? Hey MTBgreg1 on day 8 where is that at?
"skibum" wrote"In effort to stay off the dirt . . . "
I don’t comprehend
Melting snow/ice. Trails get roughed up bad here. Colorado Springs area was much more forgiving.
Day 8: I kicked my butt today. In effort to stay off the dirt I did a pavement pounder. headed out from my house to Meyers Ranch. From there to 285 for a short stint over to the road Flying J is one. Checked the trailhead. Yep, muddy. Back to the road, follow that to Evergreen Lake.Spend a little time cruising around the lake and then down to Kitteredge. Make a right turn up the hill to Pence Park. Stop for a break (or another..LOL.. Did more of those than I want to admit). Down Parmalee Gulch rd to 285 and over to Tiny Town. From there I headed back home. I am whooped almost as much as my day on Berthoud Pass.

Good stuff man!
"skibum" wroteDay 6 — toughest one yet.
Mechanical problems? Nope–still have a bike in perfect working order.
Weather? Nope–40 degrees and calm is perfect riding weather.
Motivation? Well, kind of. It’s hard to convince you knees and quads they should turn cranks after a full day of hammering moguls at 11,000 feet!
Still got in about 5miles on relatively easy singletrack.
Tomorrow, it’s back to riding to work 😐😆 😆 😆 😆 It’s going around, after my day on Berthoud Pass yesterday I ended up on rollers. Did 30 min or so.
