If you do any kind of outdoor activity in the highlands of Scotland then pretty quickly you get hear about bothies. A Bothy is a rudimentary   hut barn cottage with no toilet or water. What it does offer is shelter from the Scottish weather or midge  for the night. However you will quickly find that they are not to easily found. A lot are secret known to but a few. If you find one  well done but don’t tell anyone at risk of being flamed.  There are few that are well known even famous even published . This film shows a route visiting two more public bothies.
