I’m a bit of a cost novice..anyone know which components group would cost more . The trek farley’s or the salsa beargrease 2014 basic model (not the XX1). Trying to figure out which is the better value taking the frames out of the equation.. Thanks

They both have essentially the same component kit.
The key factor is that one frame is aluminum and one is carbon.

Looks like MSRP on the Beargrease is $3,499, while the Farley is $2,629. So with the component specs being nearly identical, that’s an $870 premium for carbon, which isn’t too bad actually.
