      I learned about this through hunting and fishing, but think it may be relevant to the mountain bike community also.

      Putting the burden of cost to run these areas may be just too much for a State’s budget to handle. This not only may effect hunting and fishing, but also mountain biking, hiking, and camping. I’d hate to see my local trail on the Sumter National Forest (Long Cane) closed because the State of South Carolina needs money from the lumber. I’m sure some of you have already seen this. Many areas of Federal Pubic use lands have been closed for minerals, lumber, oil, and fracking. Not only will this effect the public lands that we use, but also bring harm to the wildlife and general environment. I urge you all to make your voices heard and sign this petition.
