Looking for some volunteers in the Roanoke area who would like to help bring ‘The Lost Trails" back to life. Are the trails lost – not really, they know exactly where they are at. Nobody else does except for a few of us. Patterson and Price Mountain trail network is where it is at. Between New Castle and Fincastle Virginia in the Jefferson National Forest. The trails are in remarkably good shape as far as the tread, but are totally covered in laurels and blowdowns. We are presently working on Price Mountain Trail, a seven mile ridgetop ride – (with a mile hike-a-bike). Tough riding and all climbs require some walking but it is backcountry type riding at its best. More information is available on RIMBA (Roanoke IMBA) Facebook page.
