I was cleaning my bike after a ride yesterday and I noticed this crack on the "black cap" in the fork.
I’m not sure what that part is, should I be worried?
thanks and sorry for the big picture

Yup, dust cover. Everything that actually pushes back is on the other side.

yea I was surprised to see that!
I popped it out last night to see what’s underneath… and yep, just a big hole 😆I know it’s a cheap fork but I never thought that only 1 leg has springs, oh well 😃

Most forks has only one coil or air spring unit, mounted in the left leg. In the right leg is the Lockout-Motion Control or whatever they call it (Depends on Brand ans style)
