I recently purchased Shimano XT M785 brakes and Icetech rotors. The rear brake is tuned perfect, not rubbing at all before the ride. Midway through riding a couple of miles the rear brake is rubbing. Not a slight rub either, almost as if I was applying pressure to the lever. When I brought the bike back to the local shop that initially installed the brakes they adjusted it and said it was good to go. However, the same day they made adjustments I went to the trails immediately after and it happened once again. During and after every ride I have to adjust the brakes. What should I do?

Sounds like a sticking caliper. I had a similar issue with my Hayes Stroker Trails. The only solution was to bleed the brakes. If a bleed doesn’t cure it, then it’s possible that the caliper may need to be disassembled, cleaned, and have new seals installed.

Also check the tightness on the caliper to frame.

Thanks for the info, I’ll bleed the brakes and clean the caliper.
