Pisgah

I have heard about how great Pisgah nationa; forest is and I am going to try it out. It covers a huge part of western north arolina. Any suggestions to where I can do some no extreme, but intermediate downhill or xc mtb?

This may be kind of late to be of help. I live in Asheville, NC and I ride about 3 times a week, mostly at Bent Creek Experimental Forest which is just a few miles from my house. There are numerous trails there of varying length and difficulty and they are very well maintained. One that I particularly like is one that combines North Boundary Trail and Green Lick Trail. It is a strenuous climb (about 800 feet to get to the top, but it is worth it.
