It appears Giant is finally offering a "real" kids MTB.
Based on price, overall frame design and the components list, it appears to be sourced from the same manufacturer as the Specialized HotRock, but it’s still nice to have the groms be able to ride the same make as Mom or Dad.

http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-US/bik … 696/36654/Other than the shape of the frame and the colors, they are mechanically identical, and they come in 24" and 20" wheeled versions.
I’ll be checking these out when I am at the LBS as my younger daughter has most likely outgrown her 20", but the older one hasn’t outgrown her 24" one yet.
