New England Super-D Events

I was wondering why there seems to be a serious lack of Super-D type events on the East Coast, especially in New England.

So far I have found 5 events, three of which are a midweek mini-series at Whiteface in Lake Placid, one full-scale event at Whiteface (coinciding with a GravityEast event) and a GravityEast event at Mt Snow.

What the hell? We have lots of great mountains/trails here, which often have MTB programs (Sugarbush, Killington, Bolton Valley, plus loads in NH and upstate NY.) Someone needs to organize a Super-D series, I’d be willing to drive a few hours to get there, and I think it would be REALLY popular, especially for the amateur rider in the beginner and sport classifications.

I’m late to the Super D game but am really interested in racing Super D from now on. I agree with you, we need more of these races up and down the east coast not just New England.
