The new 6 mile advanced trail build for Allatoona Creek has come to halt! A thief broke into the Cobb County Parks maintenance yard and stole the trailer and cutting blade the County uses to clear trail. This loop was scheduled to open in August 2014 and would finally bring this trail system to its ultimate goal of 20 miles!
We need your help!!! Cobb County Parks and SORBA West Georgia have organized the Summer Solstice 6 Hour Mountain Bike Race and 5K Trail Run to replace these items and get this trail back on track. Please HELP and register for one of these races today! All proceeds go directly back to the trails!
You can run or walk the 5K, ride your bike in the 6 Hour, or do both! For those of you who want to help but don’t race, we are working on a Phantom Category that would allow you to get a tech t-shirt and still make a much needed contribution to the trail system.
