CABLE—Mountain Biking Hall of Fame member Ned Overend of Durango, Colo., pulled away from the lead pack in the second half of the course to win the 47-kilometer 2014 Fat Bike Birkie Saturday and capture the U.S. National Fat Bike Championship.
Overend’s time was 1:52:50. Will Ross of Anchorage, AK, took second in 1:54:53, and Brendan Moore of Prior Lake, Minn., was third in in 1:54:57.

Dude is awesome. He’s out there kicking butt when most folks are doing nothing more strenuous than 12oz curls in front of the tube.
