After several frustrating hours I finally managed to dial in my new MRP G2 chain guide.
It still rubs on the upper guide in the lowest and highest gear ranges but the lower guide is smooth.
Getting the G2 dialed in was a process of set up, test, loosen, set up, test etc etc.First ride tomorrow. Hopefully no more dropped chain.
The jury is still out on the look of the thing. It looks cool by itself but on the bike not so much.
If the G2 lives up to its press releases then I guess function equals beauty.
Update: Ok so rode 15 miles over some real chattery/rocky/rooty chain droppin’ type terrain and the chain stayed on like it was superglued.
Yep, happy.
