My mobile app says that I have badges that I haven’t earned and they are on trails that I haven’t ridden. Also on the trail check in suggestions it only lists a trail that is in Colorado and one that is in Virginia. How do I delete these badges? And how do I access local trails to check in at instead of the only two that show up and aren’t near me?

We’ve tracked down a bug in the programming that was miss assigning a few badges. Hopefully that’s cleared up that issue. If you have any more problems in that regard, please let us know.
As for the wrong locations showing up, that’s kind of strange. When out at the trail, try pulling up an app that uses location data, such as Google maps, or start recording on Strava. That should make a fresh connection to the GPS satellites and lock on your position. Then, try loading up the check-in options on the Singletracks app and see if it loads the right trails.
Let me know if that works!

My acct still shows I have an unearned Sherriff badge for breaks interstate park and Virginia rider badge and Colorado rider badge. None of these are accurate and I can’t find how to remove them. Sadly I have never ridden in Colorado or Virginia. 😢

annistonfire153, we can delete those check-ins for you. So you haven’t checked in anywhere yet?
Are you using the app in Alabama? Android or Apple?
If you could take a screen shot of the available trails that would rock. Or even just a list of the specific trails it’s giving you as check-in options…

Ok, so it looks like you’re getting choices for trails with a lat/lon of 0,0. This is a bug on our end but it also means the app isn’t able to find your current location. This may be a location permission issue (you need to allow the app to get your location) or your phone doesn’t have GPS or GPS is just turned off.
Let us know which app you’re using (Android or iPhone) and we may be able to help you get the settings straightened out!
Update: You should no longer be seeing any trails on the available check-in list. Your phone will need to report a lat/lon to see any choices. We’re also working on adding a way for members to delete any accidental check-ins via the website.

Sorry, missed that. Which phone?
Go to Settings -> Location Access. Make sure "Access to my location" is set to "On." While you’re in there, which "Location Sources" do you see listed? Ideally your phone will have both GPS and Wi-Fi enabled (checked).

ok i no longer see those far away dream trails on my possible check ins. thanks. and the delete feature soon to come should solve my other issues of seeming like a poser to my heckling buddies. location services are on but i just now turned on the google/wifi locations so hopefully that will resolve my local trails issue. using a droid razr.

Update: we’ve added a way for members to delete accidental check-ins.
Click the "My Account" dropdown at the top right of the website, then "View Profile." Click your "Badges" tab and scroll to the bottom of the page to see a log of all your check-ins. Use the "X" icon to the right of the trail name to delete a check-in. Note: there is no way to restore a check-in once it’s deleted!
