Lorton, VA:
The Bureau of Land Management is looking for weekend help for the construction of 2.5 miles of mountain bike trails at the Meadowood Special Recreation Management Area in Lorton.Meadowood has 4.5 miles of mountain bike trails and wants to add 2.5 more. One trail will be built for speed; another will be a narrow trail with natural obstacles and the third would include rock gardens, drop offs and three-dimensional rolling boardwalks and banked turns.
“These new mountain bike trails will provide a venue unique to the DC Metro area that is progressive, fun and challenging," said Doug Vinson, the BLM Bike Trail Coordinator. "These trails will give the rider the ability to hone skills that they can use on just about any trail, anywhere.”
The trails are designed for intermediate skilled riders.

June 8, 22 and 29
July 13, 20 and 27
