For the summer solstice I rode my bikepacking rig from sunrise to sunset, 5:34 AM to 9:25 PM. I did this ride a week before the actual solstice, but used the sunrise and sunset time from the solstice at my location.
This proved to be a very tough day, bit I would recommend to anyone else to give your own longest day challenge a shot, even if you can’t do the entire day like I did. It’s incredibly rewarding to see just how much you can do within one day!
