haha well not exactly an accident, but i bid on a motobecane outcast 29er for 70 bucks on ebay. looked like a great deal.. soon i realized that it is a DJ style frame i really need and NOBODY outbid me on the motobecane.

sooooo i could resell it, but im wondering what is the cheapest/best way to acquire the parts to build a full SS bike.. im guessing besides the fork and 29" wheels i could strip the other parts off a thrift shop banger huh?

any help would be greatly appreciated! id like to build a bike without spending too much more!

oh yea, on top of that, its a 15" frame and i’m 5’9" !

i think i’ll like this size considering i came from a bmx background….

Sell it. A 15" frame wont fit you.

And there’s no ‘cheap’ way to build it up either…you’ll spend a few hundred bucks even if you’re VERY thrifty.

according to the specs, it has a 28.98 standover height and 22.8 top tube length. Coming from the bmx background, it might work out…

Parts CAN come inexpensive (not cheap, know the difference!) but it’ll take a LOT of searching and patience. getting the wheels and fork will be your biggest cost.
