Ever wonder who keeps those mountain bike trails that are riddled throughout Western North Carolina up and running in good shape, clearing debris and downed trees and rerouting dangerous sections?
It’s hard-working volunteers like the members of Pisgah Area SORBA (Southern Off Road Biking Association).
To help buy tools, equipment and keep the trail maintenance going, Pisgah Area SORBA is holding the Save the Trails Challenge this Saturday, Aug. 25, starting at the Guion Farm area of DuPont State Forest on the Henderson/Transylvania counties.
The event is a fundraiser for Pisgah Area SORBA to build and maintain the mountain biking trails of Western North Carolina.
