Biking there between 10/12-17 and hitting nearby Little Creek Mountain, and Thunder Mountain, perhaps Guacamole and Slickrock Swamp.
If you’ve never ridden here, Gooseberry and Little Creek are tech and just plain fun as the manuevers come at you fast. I found these more fun than Slickrock or Porcupine Rim. Thunder Mountain is all about the views and hoodoos. -

and I agree %100 about Goose & Thunder. I plan to be there towards the end of Oct myself.
Im not familiar with Slickrock Swamp, sounds intrigueing!
