Giant Revel upgades

Hi all, just got into mountain biking about 2 months ago. I bought a Giant Revel 29er to get started into the sport. I’m already thinking of doing some upgrades but I’m wondering if being a entry level bike if good after market parts will fit. I’m hoping the only difference between this bike and higher end bikes is the frame weight which isn’t that important to me at this time because I can shave the weight off my end. Bottom line I guess is can I build a good bike off this frame ? . Thanks Craig

Hi Craig. You can upgrade just about anything on that bike, everything is a standard size. What I would do is ride the bike until something breaks, then upgrade from there. Your first upgrades could be items like your saddle, grips and pedals, which are your contact points with the bike, if these aren’t comfortable for you. Also, while everything is new, you may consider investing in good riding gear first.
