Giant ATX 970 should I buy?

In need of a new trail bike (just bent up mine today doing mala compra) and found a Giant ATX 970 for $125. I need some opinions. Would the shocks be very outdated since the bike is nearly a decade old? the components are shimano and $125 sounds like a decent deal to me since I have virtually no budget to work with. Anyone know anything about this bike?

I paid $150 for my 2003 Specialized Rockhopper 5 years ago and it’s still going. I since got a full suspension bike, and I use the Rockhopper for commuting.
