Sat 13th at 8AM PST there will be our Nor Cal surfer version of DH MTB racing…open ocean style. 30ft+ face…going over the edge with a free fall, fins out with plenty of hold downs and rescue jet skis in motion. We have similar events in MTB..jet skis are replaced by ambulances and orthopedic surgeons.If you’re here in the Bay Area, we have a bunch of surfers doing Skeggs at 5:30…..then driving into Half Moon, riding to the contest site to watch for a few hours and then surfing the Jetty if the wind stays calm or offshores hold.

Not to bud in here but I seen the video on the news last night and heard there were broken legs and arms,not to mention the dejcted looks on those peoples faces after that wave caught em all off gaurd,looked scary to say the least…

Just saw that on the news. A little fan participation. Crazy stuff. I also just saw a quick story on the downhill ski team, and they were doing some mountain biking in Moab. Anybody else catch that?
