Hey, I’m looking for something to replace my beloved, discontinued 45nrth Husker Du’s 26×4.0. I ride on hard pack trails and sand here in New Mexico and don’t want a clunky winter tire slowing me down. All I can seem to find for the fat bike are chunky, slow winter tires these days. Most of the fast rolling fat tires I’ve checked out (like Jumbo Jim, Specialized’s models, and Bontrager’s models) are discontinued or out of stock. What’s a fat biker to do?

Jumbo Jims,  Terrene Wazia Lites.  The Kenda Juggernaut Pros get a lot of hate online,  but they are good all rounders (the 4.0 has almost no knobs,  I like the 4.5).

Teravail Coronado. Jumbo Jim, Kenda Juggers.  45Nrth Dillinger 4

There are a few options to think about.

Surly’s Edna might be about what you’re looking for, it’s not a snow tire and it’s got a relatively light tread. Looks like it’s in stock at bike tires direct (or on order at your LBS, I’m sure).
