I’ve always been a bit of a ‘budget weight weenie”* and have just bought an Orbea Urrun 30, quite light for an eMTB but still north of 19kg. I find myself debating between Shimano PD-M520s at 375g or Bontrager Comp SPD at 300g… I know this is ridiculous but where would you go, “the bikes already heavy enough so I don’t want to add any more weight than I have to” or “the bikes so heavy that an extra 75g doesn’t matter”?
* I’ve never been able to afford the lightest but have always aimed for the best weight/cost compromise
