Went to ride last night, found I had a flat reat tire…..normally I’d have taken it in to the shop, but as I had a spare tube on the shelf, I decided to give it a try-I’ve done fronts before but never the rear….I was able to change it, and even get it back to working condition! Not a big deal to most here, but I am THE most mechanically challenged person you’ve ever met…Wife was pretty surprised too….Cool thing, is now I can actually do it trailside if I ever need to! 😃

Shortly after I first started riding back when I was in high school, I got some new tires that I wanted to put on my bike. But, I had never changed out a pair of tires before. I went to my mentor (middle aged guy) to ask for help.
He said to go and figure it out on my own, that even his students can do it.
He is the head of the special ed department……….
How was that for tough love, eh? 😼

I changed my first tire when I was 8….right after I figured out that you have to remove the wheel first in order to then remove the tire. It didn’t quite work out the other way around. 😆
