Chain and gear questions

Lately my chain has started coming off the front crank (single/32) every once in a while on the downhill side of things. I ride downhill (fast 😃) usually in first/second gear in case of quick turns etc…
I"ve been told that running downhill in low gears will cause this? Any other ideas?

Have you checked your barrel adjusters,limit screws,chain stretch,ring wear,and maby your cables for binding or sticking?

I’ll get on it. I think, now, that it’s chain stretch.
