I was riding at my favorite MTB trail and came upon a rider moving boulders off the trail..”What are ya doin?” I asked. “Well..the big rocks are in the way and I am moving them.” He answered. He honestly thought he was doing the MTB community a big service. I told him to return those rocks back and explained that we like them there. He said he has to walk his bike over them. After we repaired the trail we sat down. I found out he just started MTBing and he was a LaCrosse Player. When we went our separate ways he thanked me. As he rode away I mentioned he may want to remove the reflectors from his spokes..

Depending on the trail here in GJ, he would be moving those rocks all day.

Glad you were able to resolve the situation amicably. 🙂

I don’t really understand this thinking TBH. Even if you aren’t a biker, isn’t it common courtesy to leave things alone that aren’t yours? I mean, somebody else owns/manages the land where you’re riding. Maybe these are the same people who think it’s ok to pick flowers in a park.
