Hi there we’re planning a trip to the Lake Ouachita/Hot Springs, AR area over Thanksgiving weekend. While there is an awesome site with trail beta (mtbark.com), info on camping in the area is hard to come by. It seems most camping on public lands is under the online reservation/pay system. Can anyone point me to some free/poachable camping near some of the great trails, like the Womble trail?? Any other helpful hints about traveling, riding, and camping in the area would be much appreciated! Thanks! -Kate

Our sister site, Tripleblaze.com, lists 7 campgrounds within 10 miles of the Womble trailhead. Not sure how many, if any, are free but here’s the list:
