Ambassador team of mountain bike, road and triathlon athletes will live out brand message in 2017
Louisville, Colo. (Nov. 18, 2016)- Pearl Izumi, maker of performance cycling apparel and footwear, announces the opening of their application portal for a team of 2017 ambassadors. Fifty athletes will be hand selected to help deliver the Pearl Izumi brand message and showcase what it means to Endure and Enjoy as both Pursuit and Escape athletes.
The ‘Ambador’ name is derived from an excerpt of the Pearl Izumi Pact, where athletes pledge to “Take the ass out of ambassador.” Ambadors will be asked to support and challenge others to #endureandenjoy365. For 2017, Pearl Izumi aims to select approximately 15 road cyclists, 15 mountain bikers, 15 triathletes, and five relatively new riders across all abilities, who truly embody what it means to Endure & Enjoy their sport. These ambassadors will be selected for both their devotion to the sport and their ability to show and celebrate the love of hard work —a core value that all athletes share.
