      Heya fuzz!

Have you read Greg’s (and others) really great articles on preparing for a 100 miler? It would be perfect for what you’re planning.

If you have problems finding some of the articles, let me know, I’ll dig the particulars up.

Good for you going for it. Train hard but at your own pace and remember there’s always a next year to improve.

Congrats on your signing into race. The answer to your question is simple: ride 50 miles on a similar terrain and try to improve with every ride. Also, don’t expect to win this first race (unless you’re a superhero). Set a goal to cross that finish line – it’ll help not to burn all your power at first climb.
