I went biking on this trail myself and I came across a gnarly looking drop-off, and I was debating it, I was also thinking that I should call my girlfriend and let her know that if I don’t call in 5 minutes it means I wrote a check I couldn’t cash and to come out for me. I didn’t end up taking it that day though. The next time I went out with a friend, decided that I would, I ended up crashing with all body parts intact but major scraps and cuts.
Sooo I definitely champion the idea of riding with someone, or letting close friends know where and when you should be back.
