I figured it all out. My derailleur was actually bent, just as I had hoped. I finally found where, comparing it to my sx4 that snapped in half a month ago. lol.
So I’ve broken two derailleurs now, sx4 and an x.5. I just ended up buying another sx4, because it was cheaper, and because it seemed to work just great when I had my first one. And I didn’t want to spend a lot of money, just to have this next one break too. but I don’t think that will be happening till at least the summer is over…hopefully. I see nothing wrong with the lower end SRAM’s. sure my first one broke in half, but that was because it got stuck in my rim due to a loose stick 😠 and this second time here because i was just being careless and stupid.
If this lasts me for quite some time, i might look into a higher end, but to me the lower end (sx4,x.5) seem just perfect.
