I lived in Denver for a couple of years.  Locals don’t eat in the expensive/crowded slop side restaurants.  They eat a PBJ on the lift in between runs.

Breckenridge is a great family friendly mountain with lots of beginner terrain.  It’s got advanced stuff too if you feel saucy.  Keystone sucks (north facing mountain gets icy).

Accommodations will kill you.  Don’t stay in some slope side villa.  Find the Best Western by the interstate (or some such).  Maybe AirBNB?
