Just bought Schwalbe tires. A “nobby nic” for the back, and a “magic mary” for the front of my bike, my God these tires are monsters.
If you can get some on sale, it’s not so forkin’ pricey, but these babies are not cheap. they are also not fragile. with sidewalls like a tank, you will be able to go over anything in your path. super happy with the performance of these tires.
UPDATE: OK i just bought a new bike, it came with MAXXIS Minion DHR(rear) and Minion DHF(front). I see these on a lot of bikes.
They also are amazing tires.
