[quote="Fitch":d6e1h7vc]I think even if you’re just bagging one ride a week for a few miles, mountain biking is still an excellent hobby. Sure, the physical exercise is excellent, but it does wonders for the mind and soul being out in nature and in control of your actions.

Amen! Exercise, fun and getting away from it all for a bit is what it’s all about![/quote:d6e1h7vc]
I"m 62, retired, I live 6 months florida 6 NJ. I ride once a week, golf, sail, yoga, ski. Yea how could I do all this? Time management google calendar, eat right, no sugar, sleep well. I like alcohol in mod. (and the other hippie thing)lol But I do all this because I’m great at nothing, but can do almost everything, even after 7 operations. Back, neck, shoulders…etc. Physical therapy works, gym workouts all done also.
Google calender? wow what a tool. I can do double event days. ie, golf 9 at 7am(walk) M W F. Couple with beach, sail and yoga on those days. The rest fits in easily.
I love being able to do something everyday. My biggest let down is if I burn out on a single day, which may cause me to miss an outdoor day! Unless I travel and have to sit on a plane, then I go for it the day before and chill the travel day!
Heading to Fruita, CO., next September. Life is good at Alafia State Park, Fl.

This guy has it right!
