I find myself flip flopping on clipless myself. I like them but am just way more comfortable with the flats. Honestly my falls due to the clips have been pretty limited. a couple real quick stops followed by that eternally long pause as you feel your foot still clipped in and then the sudden sideways motion of falling over.
Of course i also have a pair of very cheap wellgos that never seem to act the same. one time they unclip fine and the next i feel like i have been superglued to my pedals.
