Ahh cool! I am involved with Team Twisted Offshore & Team JD Byrider (some of the Byrider brothers), but know some of the team crews with Team Lucas, Team Instigator, and a couple guys on the Miss Geico Team, among a few others that were not there. It sucks that Miss Geico had to scratch the race due to hull de-lamination issues. Joco was really bummed, as that is his team along with Team Blacksands.
I used to race the smaller hydro boast class and V-class power boats when I was younger, but they did not have the bigger & such sophisticated engines they have now….LOL. We just raced with the ole Mercury racing outboards and hit speeds up to 100mph….hahaha.
