With the days getting shorter and the end of daylight savings approaching, NiteRider is here to the rescue! The company is sponsoring Singletracks’ first ever trail tagging contest and it works like this.

Find the trails you’ve ridden in the Singletracks trail database and click the “add tags” link in the trail dashboard on the right side of the page. Add descriptive words separated by commas (“tags”) and we’ll reward points for each tag you add. The members with the most tags (along with one randomly chosen tagger) will receive a sweet light from NiteRider.

Tagging a trail “night riding” or “no night riding” is worth 3 points. Tagging a trail [cross country, all mountain, freeride, downhill, bikepacking, bike park, pump track, lift-served, paved, fee required, shuttle, rocky, or views] is worth a point and all other tags are worth half a point. Ultimately these tags will help improve our trail database filters so you can search for trails that allow night riding or those that are begging to punish your DH rig.

Full contest details and the leaderboard are available here. Thanks to NiteRider for sponsoring this contest and helping us improve the Singletracks trail database!
