This video from Wired goes through a brief history of mountain bike design with MTB pioneers Joe Breeze and Charlie Kelley. Shot at the Marin Museum of Bicycling, the video shows how mountain bikes evolved over the first two decades of their existence. Very cool!

A huge thank you to Joe and Charlie! Mountain biking is the most fun I’ve ever had with my clothes on.

gary fisher claimed to have come up with the idea of putting multiple gears on an old clunker but breeze exposed this by showing fisher looking at the actual innovator at a cyclocross race… i forget his name but breeze surely remembers…
