The single most expensive production mountain bike in the world that we could track down tops this list with a bank account-shattering $13,000 price tag! Similar to the Cannondale in second place, BMC’s fourstroke 01 is their top-tier, no-holds-barred cross country race machine, with 100mm of suspension front and back. That suspension travel is provided by a Fox Float 32 SC, Factory, FIT4, Kashima fork and a Fox Float DPS, Factory, Evol, Kashima rear shock.

Drivetrain duties are, again, handled by Shimano’s XTR Di2 2×11 drivetrain (notice a trend here?), braking by Shimano XTR Race brakes, with 29″ BMC MWX01 Carbon wheels by DT Swiss rounding out the parts package.

Unfortunately, if you were hoping to reach the end of this list and immediately buy the most expensive mountain bike in existence, you’ll have to wait: at the time of this writing, BMC’s website is showing the fourstroke 01 as back ordered, but it should be back in stock soon.

Your Turn: Now that you know the most efficient way to blow your lottery winnings (or your bank account), tell us: which of these bikes would you go for if you had the coin?

Also, if you spot a production mountain bike over $10,600 that we missed, let us know about it in the comments section below!
