That is fantastic!! So much better than watching Go PRo videos
I was sooo bummed!! Its so close to me !
Glad everyone is okay, but Im really sorry your bike was smashed.
"maddslacker" wroteFor the record, I grew up around horses, and both my wife and daughter ride. But as a trail use group, they are whiny and annoying for the most part.
HAHAHA, yes they are! In my former life I was a horse trainer and loved trail riding. Where I rode the trails though, was just for horse use, I never saw mountain bikers on them. Here there are horse trails and other trails.
I would love to have an indoor bike park, nope, It wont take the place of regular MTBing. I usually still ride all winter and if the snow gets too high I strap on my snow shoes. But I wouldnt mind going indoors a few weekends especially if the weather is crappy.

owww, glad you had a good ride though, heal up for more.
Glad you had a good time, and sorry for your mechanical mishaps.
"ronyc" wroteI was finally able to ride this weekend and tackled the above said obstacle. Attack position , nice and loose, and tried to focus on the trail ahead. Worked flawlessly, even picked up more speed. Did the same part of the trail a second time just to make sure I get the technique down. Even better the second time. Thanks again for all your help, and for the confidence you guys have given me.
Excellent, we are always glad to help!

I think we’ve all been there at least once!
I did a great front wheel stand once, not meaning to of course 😕 , I rolled over a log but the drop was bigger than I expected, I was too far forward and must have grabbed brake, i was also clipped in. Next thing I know my rear tire is straigt up and im looking down at the ground. I just thought " oh NO I am NOT falling!!" I just slammed my arse down on the seat and the bike came back down. My friend behind me was in disbelief I got the bike back down.
I used to ride and train horses so the "tuck and roll" was good practice and it comes in very handy biking too 😉
i defiantly dig the indoor bike park idea. I would go!
Do a bit of research on components, you will find a difference on lower end and high end bikes. Like Joe said, It could have Shimano but different series. Same with Forks, cheaper springs, more features.
On my XC bike, its the whole bike, its a sweet ride and Its the whole thing that makes riding it great. On my DH, at the moment id have to say the suspension, it rocks!
"brianW" wroteWhat ever you do, don’t have your rear tire come off the ground while your front is planted, bad things can happen 😮
If you do, get your weight back as quick as possible to get the rear tire down, dont grab brake. If you do endo, tuck and roll, dont stick your hand out our youll break your wrist.
I agree with growl.. but want to add, use your body as suspension too. when your bike goes over the bump, let your knees and arms bend more to take up the bike coming up to your body, your upper body dosnt move, let your knees bend and your elbow bend.
Holy Cow!!!!!!!!!!!!!
if it isnt shifting properly, its bent.
uh oh, the guy was walking at the end. I have seen guys take their dogs out on a landing. To me though thats common sense to watch your dog when you are doing a stunt. I have my friends hold my dog for me when I do something and I always know where she is and hold her when others are jumping. If I go in large groups she does stay home.
Madslacker – did you by chance get the name of that bike rack? It looks pretty cool
Wood + rain = slick 😃
Oh yeah, i have encountered icy bridges before. I usually walk wet bridges.
