I just missed ya Funrover I was there last week. Had to ride to town from Salt Creek rode back over Goddard Pass. Bad Idea. That water crossing is sweet and the sand trap afterwards not so much fun.
Nice pix. I should have rode back through Chubb Park. Was there much climbing on the loop?

😆 Nothing special just the same thing I have done for the past eight summers. I’m going to try to do at least a [color=darkblue:2r4r4i2m]hundred[/color:2r4r4i2m] different rides. I’ve got some of the rides done already so it should be pretty easy. I’ll try and post some of the adventure. One of these summers I need to get out and explore the rest of the Country! 😆

So this is a post I’ve been meaning to write for a while. But basically, if you’ve ridden trails that aren’t up here on Singletracks, you should post them up so everyone can know about them!

Of the half dozen or so guidebooks that I own, each of them includes trails that aren’t posted here on singletracks. I’ve done my fair share, and every trail I’ve ever ridden is up here on the website for all to see. But there are so many out there that need to be added!

Near where I was living in Montana, I know there are a dozen or so awesome trails that I didn’t get a chance to ride that needed to be added. There are so many more all over that state that need to be on here!

I was reading the latest issue of Bike Mag, and they were talking about the hundreds of awesome trails up in BC. We have less than 25 trails from BC listed here on Singletracks.

So let’s keep on making this the best mountain bike site on the internet! And post those trails!

Sometimes posting trails is taboo. A lot of people don’t want to see the great MTB invasion coming to their neighborhood or their perceived secret trails exposed.

I don’t really care. I’ll see if I can post up what I have lying around. Just as long as you don’t mind some old stuff. I usually like to ride the trial again and refresh my memory and make sure things haven‘t changed. I guess I can post and update with a review.

Also got a GPS this year and plan on adding GPS tracks to my rides.

    Hope that will help.

I am looking to take a mountain biking vacation. It will be my first one. Does anyone have past trips that they will share. good or bad.

    Thanks
    Denny

Personally I like Colorado. Fifty years living here I can still come up with new places to ride, camp, hike and fish. Just got back from my last road trip. Salida was only 110 miles away. Eight days 156 miles of riding mostly new trails all within about 50 miles of each other. A new place to fish and I got to visit some of the most remote places in Colorado. One of the best MTB vacations ever. Got it saved I’ll share.. Most were advanced rides with some hike-a-bike about 20 miles each.
I will get these trails posted soon hopefully. Or get in touch and I can give you details. Only about a month left to ride the high country I had frost every night. Time for a trip to Fruita.

    WINTER DOLDRUMS
It,s hard to geuss what trail you are talking about. I haven’t heard about any new trails. We mostly have old minning roads,RR grades, old stage routes ,4X4 roads ect.. that have been cleaned up and maintained by local mountain bikers. Pavilion Point/ Silverdale was by far the most popular ride last year. There was some work done on the F.A.T. trail last year this is probably the trail you are thinking of. I haven’t posted this trail because there is some controversy over the name the downhillers have taken over the trail and want to name it There is alot of riding around Georgetown if you are a strong technical rider.
Give me an E-mail or P.M. if your,e up for a ride:

Rode the F.A.T. trail yesterday. This is one or trails that was mentioned in the DenverPost article.
“And somewhere along the road up to the long-abandoned Waldorf Mine is a new trail known as the Fat Trail. Only a few have ridden it, and early reports indicate it will soon take its place among the Colorado classics like Kenosha Pass and Monarch Crest. It starts at 11,500 feet and falls nearly 4,500 vertical feet before reaching Georgetown.â€

Maybe you should get together with the Clear Creek Trail Society and see if you can work that stuff out.

How can it be a society if it’s one person trying to make money [buy map] ?
    Society :The wealthy dominate class!
Its hard for me to support someone else’s profit when it should be for everyone’s benefit !
I am the eternal pessimist but hopefully it will work out this time.
It’s a good thing to see outside interest in Clear Creek once again!

So we have gone from an ASS. To a SOCIA!
How do you like the new web site? Just went live today . Hopefully it will help and won’t fizzle out. At last check Barbour Fork was the only thing on there . I have been riding and maintaining these trails for 20 years now and to have someone come along and say “ I got the trails cleaned up nowâ€

Man I got to get one of those gps things! are you going to do the Firecracker 50? There is some single track through the ski area or on the other side I think you can connect with Pence Miller Ditch Trail it should take alot of the pavement out. From Breck there are a few options If you want to get to Baker’s Tank take the Blue River Trail to Pennsylvania or Indiana Gulch.[more exploring] From Carter Park take Barney Ford and Juniata trails to get to Sallie Barber Mine The local bike guide has this and many more trails around Summit County.

Don’t know how I missed your post. But anyway. Well we tried to rideTipperary creek, but Smedly’s rear axel made a loud noise and siezed up. It was soloud that a passing motorist heard it and stoped and offerd a ride.Ride aborted! So I went over to Pence Park to see if I could find this trail that I have been tring to find for about a year. Found it. It connects Pence Park with Independance Mtn.[photo].Now tomorow is sat. I was thinking about North Empire. Are you up for a ride tomorow? I would like to leave early 8-9 ish. I’ll try to get in touch.Anyone else? I’ll swing by the visitor’s center about 9 a.m. Image

Made it over to Summit County yesterday.Lots of snow up high. The’re still skiing at A-Basin. Looks like the Ten mile Range still has plenty of snow. I rode Summit Cove. I saw only a couple patches of snow. The trail was mostly dry with a few muddy sections. Most of the lower valley trails should be free of snow now. Here are a few photos.Image
