Many thanks to all of you for your kind words and advice. Its a lot more than Ive ever gotten from anybody, it really means a lot to me. Thank you.

No. I want to be a pro athlete 100%. And thanks for your reply, its one of the best answers I’ve ever gotten for any question asked on here. I watch so many mountain biking videos its unreal.

And as for the time part I’m working on it. Ive started riding before some classes and after before work starts and doing really longer rides on my 2 days off. In a way I don’t want this to be easy, I think the fact that its not being handed to me is what is making me want it so much more. Just to be able to one day look back and say, "see I did it when most of you said I couldn’t."

If there is any other helpful advice, feel free to send it my way.

And again, many thanks…It means a lot 😉

I am currently intoxicated, yet not on a bike….so therefore the sun’s mass is equal to potato. 😛

Hmm, considering I just posted a thread about biking with a hangover…..No, I am not an alcoholic.

    I’m just a college student! 😼

It really is not too bad,but it does look a bit intimidating from the top.I’d be happy to demonstrate over and over again, haha.

I’ve come pretty close to landing that flat the last couple times,I just keep trying to get more and more out of it and I think I’ve got about all I can.

It was always intended to be bigger and as soon as my buddy I usually ride with can muster up the balls for it,and I get the rest of the wood, it will be a couple feet higher. 😃

I almost put some tire marks on a kids face a couple weeks ago,he was fuckin around climbing on it as I was haulin ass up to the ledge…if I had my old cable discs we probably would both have been hurt. That is why there is the "Please do not climb" sign on it now.

Im free some afternoons if you ever need a hand, id be happy so swap labor for hucking instructions 😄
So your saying, get a blindfold and pedal fast as hell? Got it. I just hope I can find a black and white one to match my bike and helmet! 😆

You may want to get a black and blue one instead, to match the resulting bruising & swelling 😀[/quote:3omu3qk7]

    😆 Well played sir…well played! 😆

If it helps, hell yeah! 😆

Seriously though….drops are much easier and take sooooo much less skill than jumps. Hucking takes two things bro….1) A simple commit 2) speed (if it has a gap) 3) slide back (slide back) more toward the rear wheel and get lower for a better center of gravity as your bike is doing its thing. If you get back and lower, you will naturally pull back on the bars (not pull up like on the DJ’s) toward your chest (like a manual) so that the back tire lands first. DJ’s you want the front tire to land first and the rear wheel will follow in the same spot (part of pumping).

Once it has been done, you will look back and say….."Damn that was fun!!!….LOL" 😉 😄

I was doing the drops at Santos, nothing big but It was also at a time when i was riding a lot more. For a lack of better words, i need to regrow some balls. lol

006, I stayed out til 2am watching the UFC fight at Splitz in Gainesville. We started drinking Shock Top pitchers at 9( not my choice of beer). ARGH!!!! Woke up at 730 am, took three Advil’s, downed two pieces of french toast and was at San Fel at 900am. Did 19 miles at a pretty slow average(9.5) and didn’t feel too bad.
You must be YOUNG! Us old people are more used to it??? LOL!!

I am young, but I can honestly say that your a better man than I am. We did 21.5 at about 8. I was drinking bud light from a keg and then managed to get into a fifth of crown royal. Normally i don’t get hangovers, but sunday was rough! 😳[/quote:h7p93wv0]

WOW, after reading what you drank…..I’d STILL be in bed![/quote:h7p93wv0]

If i was smart i would of stayed in bed….then again if i was smart I also wouldn’t of polished off a bottle of liquor. Pretty sure it won’t be the last time either! 😏

I’ll be free sometime during the week if you want to meet somewhere between us. I would like to hit Balm Boyette again sometime soon. Although I have not been in the saddle for about a month and a half. Let me know. I have not been to the Tampa trails or any other up your way but with the price of gas I can not travel too far.

    Razor

Yeah gas is getting a lil pricey, the only day I really have free during the week is Tuesdays, i don’t really know of any trails in between our locations very well. I am originally from Arcadia, Florida, not too far from Wachula
