I second the post about Craigslist. I have seen some nice bikes go for decent prices. 😃
I check it daily.Yeah, that is a good site for stuff. I found that my daily rider is a 2003.
It is a 2003 GT Avalanche 3.0.EDIT I somehow managed to post twice.
No it has small tubes and I believe it is made out of chromoly.
I also said it was white, but since I finally looked at it in the daylight, I noticed that it is silver color. From what I saw on the bikepedia website, it must be a 95 model. It is a 13.5" frame.
I think I may have found me a buyer for it. It is a girl who posted on craigslist saying she wanted a 13" bike. I told her $35 and have now wishing I said $50. Oh well, I gave less than that for all 3 bikes. 😃
Here is a pic of it
I’ve talked myself out of it. I did find out that this an outdated model.
I’ll just stick with my GT Avalanche 3.0 I have now.Looks good Thanx trek7k.
I love to watch old episodes of Red Green.

-Red GreenStill not saving it. Oh well don’t worry about it, the main thing is being able to post.
Yes. I set that, type in my signature and save it. Then it reverts back to a blank signature and the radio button is back over to no.

You ain’t a Tennessee fan are you?Avalanche 3.0. Don’t know what year
Shimano front derailer
Shimano Acero rear derailer
SR Suntour crankset
RST Capa CL forks
Tektro V-Brakes front and rear
I hate the grips on this bike. They get very uncomfortable after just a few minutes of riding.
I think it looks right at home sitting in front of the cottage we have on our property 😀Back to the subject.
I work as an electrician(when I am working. Laid Off right now) and I quit wearing my ring shortly after I got it. At the time it was mostly because it was getting scratched up. Also, doing maintenance work where you have to climb around, there are too many places to hang it and deglove your finger. 😮 Not to mention that gold is a very good conductor of electricity. The only better conductor is silver.
There is no way I am going to ride with it on.I’ll get one tomorrow.
LarryOf course now I have fixed the whole bike by selling it and I bought me a GT Avalanche 3.0. I don’t know what year it is, but it is a whole lot better and lighter bike.
"Mongoose" wroteIf memory serves me right, the Avalanche was a disc brake ready frame, but I could be wrong. If it is, I would definitely reccomend upgrading to some descent mechanical disc brakes, like the Avid BB7’s or the Hayes MX1 or 2. Other than that, if the bike rides well, then "RIDE ON" bro, and have fun while you are doing it.
You are correct about the disk ready frame. I was wondering if it would have disks when I went to look at it, because all the 3.0’s I saw while researching it had them.
I think it will serve me well.
LarryNew cheap chain seems to have fixed it.
Thank you very much for all that you helped me with.Mines square.
