No need for tubeless-specific wheels/rims. That’s what the rim strips are used for – to "mimic" how a tubeless rim is shaped on the inside.
Did the videos answer all of your questions?
The first thing I wish I had done is watch the Stan’s Tubeless videos. I set up some wheels before and after, and those I did after watching the soapy way of mounting definitely hold air longer. Their site will also answer most of your questions – there are a couple of options, from rim strips to rim tape, etc.
I would figure that if a man-made feature collapsed or was defective in a way to cause injury, you wouldn’t need a "trail builder" to explain it.
June 30, 2014 at 18:00 in reply to: Sintered or Organic pads and why. What’s your preference #125183I have metallic, but plan on switching the rear to organic as soon as I need to replace them. The squealing bugs me, so I want to see if organic will fix it. I tend to stick with the same brand, rather than go with 3rd-party. In my case, Avid Juicy Seven.

Thanks for your comments.
It was all for naught though. The guy sold it to someone else in the middle of our working out how to arrange the swap, and didn’t have the class (or courage) to let me know.
Wore some loose fitting "tights," base layer T-shirt, long sleeve jersey and a vest this morning. Started in the 40s, and it might have gotten into the 50s by the end. (IMO that’s not cold as he!! though.)
"jkneivel" wroteI just clipped in today for the first time. I practiced (clipping in/clipping out) for a bit and then I rode around my neighborhood. I came to a stop and I forgot that I was clipped in. I fell in front of all my neighbors and we all had a good laugh
Reminds me of when my son first tried clipless pedals. I had him try it in the yard, and yup, fell right over the first time he stopped. I laughed and he got mad, saying it wasn’t funny. I told him that almost everyone does that….once….and that’s why I had him start out on the lawn.
Anyone else sick of that kid spinning around in the Silverado commercial?
I’ve got one that was was planning to put on eBay eventually. I just changed to a a longer one. The only catch is that the used one that I got came with cracked stem inserts because someone over-torqued the bolts. So you could do what I did and just use the inserts you have now.
I’m in C-Sprgs, but am going to a wedding this afternoon (10/3) at Red Rocks.
