Happy New Year Everyone!
To help welcome in the new year, I am searching for a new bike. I currently ride a 2009 GT Avalanche 2.0 Disc, it’s been a great bike, but I am ready for something new. Wanting a 29er, and not having the budget for a full suspension 29, I have narrowed my search between the Gary Fisher XCaliber and Paragon. I have done some research on both, and I am leaning toward the XCaliber. I realize the Paragon comes with clipless pedals (which I already have), full SRAM x9 drive train, along with upgraded brakes, seatpost, and stem. Personally, I don’t see that being worth the extra $440.00. If it is, or if you have any suggestions regarding the XCaliber or other 29er hardtails, feel free to comment! My budget is ~$1800.00, and here’s a reference: http://fisherbikes.com/bike/compare/sta … e=0&four=0.
Thanks,
Drew
